Wakako Hanada obtained her BA in Music at Oxford University, and continued her postgraduate study at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her 1999 recital of Japanese and
Korean compositions received critical acclaims, and she was awarded the Muramatsu Music Prize. She now teaches at the Toho Gakuen College of Music and Drama, and serves as the program facilitator
in Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy as well as the project coordinator for the Japan Foundation for Reginal Art-Activities.
